Developing Hierarchy Principle in Sketch-Up

I am now getting towards the end of the project so I have begun to develop my design principles further using Sketch-Up. I feel that at this stage they are quite basic and not as technical as I would like them to be.

The following are some screen-shots of different angles as I develop my Hierarchy principle:

So progressing with my original model that I made earlier in this project, I have began to experiment with different forms of duplicating my model around a central rotation point. This involved using different radius' and the number of duplicates. It is a very basic concept, yet it yields different results every time depending on the values inputted and obviously the model you begin with. The following are a few screen-shots from different angles.
With this angle I have tried to create a sense of depth by creating a foreground and background.
Top View. This helps to convey the idea I was talking about above - that changing the radius of the central rotation point and the number of multiples give you different results even when beginning with the same model.
Bottom View - beginning to get inside model.
They almost look like turning cogs.
Perspective angle with shadows enabled and edge lines removed. Thus it is just the combination of the shadows and my pattern that create the form of the shapes.
Again another view looking up into the model. I actually really like this view.
Another development. This development model was actually done before the model above but this is what gave me the idea of seeing how different forms of duplicating my model around a central rotation point looked like within the same model, in regards to number of duplicates and radius of the central rotation point.

Close up bringing emphasis to my hierarchy pattern.
